State Police Involved Accident In Pawtucket
On Sunday January 13th Pawtucket Engine's 2,5 Rescue 2 Were dispatched to Route 95 Northbound in the vicinity of the S-Curve for a State Police involved motor vehicle accident. According to witnesses the officer was in the progress of citing a truck driver for driving over the Pawtucket River Bridge when he was struck from behind by another vehicle. The bridge has a minimized weight limit which is strictly enforced and is scheduled to be replaced in the upcoming months and years. The Trooper was transported to Rhode Island Hospital by Rescue two for further treatment unknown extent of the officers injuries at this time, The Other operator was not injured.
