Shortly Before 12:30 Providence Fire Alarm transmitted Still Box 3363 Union Avenue & Priscilla Street for a reported building fire at 260 Union Street. A full assignment was dispatched due to multiple calls being received, Tower 2 arrived first due and reported "heavy smoke showing" from a 3.5 story mixed occupancy building and transmitted a "code red" followed by a request for an additional 1&1. Crews made a aggressive interior attack to preform searches for a reported missing occupant and to initiate fire suppression efforts with A heavy fire condition on floor two extending upwards while tower two setup and vented the roof. Providence Jakes made extremely good progress within twenty minutes knocking down the heavy volume of fire. The missing person was not found in the building, One firefighter was transported to a area hospital for treatment of minor injuries, the cause of the fire is under investigation.
