Six Alarms Transmitted For A Taxpayer In Somerville
On Saturday Evening Box 177 was transmitted for a fire in a commercial building. First arriving companies had heavy fire in a row of taxpayers at 87-91 Broadway. Six alarms were subsequently sounded bringing in multiple mutual aid companies to the scene. Two towers were set up and multiple handlines knocked down the heavy fire which destroyed the block of stores and damaged two 3.5 story occupied woodframe dwellings to the rear of the main fire building. No Injuries were reported and crews remained on scene into the next morning.
